Kevin Wood is an American airbrush artist and illustrator. He is known for his detailed art of pro athletes, actors, and the most famous comic book and animated TV superheroes and villains.

Kevin has a knack for the human figure. By age eight, he had mastered pencil rendering of anatomy and portraits. He is influenced by the dynamic art of Marvel Comics’ famous artists, Jack Kirby and John Byrne. He also admires the photorealistic styles of legendary fantasy artists, Boris Vallejo and Frank Frazetta. Kevin soon combined both subject materials, ultimately creating his own style.
By age twenty, his artistic abilities changed the course of his life by way of the airbrush. In 1992, Kevin became a freelance illustrator. In 1993, Kevin illustrated his first album cover for the hip-hop group Leaders Of The New School. Their album, The Inner Mind’s Eye, launched his career as a music illustrator. He worked with Busta Rhymes, Queen Latifah, and KRS-1.
Not long ago, he entered the world of bodybuilding. It was a perfect source for any, and all, paintings of comic book and fantasy characters. In doing so, he’s painted for some of the world’s greatest bodybuilders. They include Arnold Schwarzenegger, eight-time Ms. Olympia Lenda Murray, and eight-time Mr. Olympia Dorian Yates. Also, Bev Francis, a champion powerlifter and bodybuilder.
